Learning someone you love has cancer is never easy
When I heard my uncle had been diagnosed with mesothelioma cancer I didn’t really know what to do – he seemed so resigned to having mesothelioma. The doctors said it was a mesothelioma asbestos related and that with these types of mesothelioma prognosis is never good. Of course I went online to see what others had to say about this kind of cancer, and I came across the site of Paul Kraus’ ‘Surviving mesothelioma and other Cancers’. It seemed so full of hope and useful practical ways to try and beat the cancer that I bought it there and then for my uncle. He really loved the book, and since reading it that resignation that I saw in him in the first few weeks totally went away and he got his spark back. Now I don’t know what will happen, but at least we all have hope that he can beat this disease and still be here years later to tell others about how he did it just like Mr Kraus has done. I know that we have to be prepared for the worst, but I am still hopeful that it will never come to that.
